Greenhill Roofing to feature on Grand Designs

The team at Greenhill Roofing have recently carried out roofing works on Phase I of pioneering eco-project The Dumble in Derbyshire which is due to be aired on Channel 4’s Grand Designs in the spring of 2011.

The Dumble is a unique energy-efficient, revolving house based on an idea by Robin Hamilton of leading edge green consultancy Home Revolution.  Phase I constituted the installation of a 175m2  roof above the garage wing for which Greenhill Roofing were selected as approved Topseal GRP flat roofing installers by the development’s principal contractors Amos Developments Ltd.

Jamie Greenhill had this to say: “This was a unique and exciting project for us in many aspects - not least because was our first revolving house and our Grand Designs debut!  We’re delighted to be associated with such a prestigious and innovative project as The Dumble which is unique in a global context.

The Topseal GRP roofing system which we installed was chosen for its durability and reliability as every installation comes with a 25 year Topseal guarantee.  A green pigmented finish was chosen to improve the aesthetics of the finished roof and help blend the development into its surroundings.
